Shimano Kairiki belongs to the braids with very low stretch — the manufacturer states less than 3% — so even the lightest touch is transmitted to the hand. The dense VT weave gives a smooth surface that reduces friction against the guides and extends the life of the line.
The multicolour version changes colour along its length, so you can see at any moment how much line has been let out. This is decisive in vertical fishing and at greater depths, where fish hold in a narrow layer and you need to return to exactly the same level. The 300 m spool covers deeper marks and leaves a reserve for shortening the line after damage.
