Shimano Kairiki uses the VT weaving method with densely packed fibres, which makes the line smooth and quieter through the guides and helps it shoot better on the cast. The base is IZANAS polyethylene fibre, a material chosen precisely because it carries very high loads at a small diameter.
The colour change along the length allows depth counting without any extra aids, which matters most when jigging and dropping to an exact level. A 300 m spool is enough to fill larger reels, or to fill smaller ones twice.
