Shimano Kairiki belongs to the braids with very low stretch — the manufacturer states less than 3% — so even the lightest touch is transmitted to the hand. The dense VT weave gives a smooth surface that reduces friction against the guides and extends the life of the line.
The colour change along the length allows depth counting without any extra aids, which matters most when jigging and dropping to an exact level. A 300 m spool is enough to fill larger reels, or to fill smaller ones twice.
