The Yamashita Tataki Set Squish SS BS is a ready-made rig for tataki squid fishing from a boat, fitted with soft Squish jigs from the Japanese maker Yamashita. Tataki is a technique in which a string of jigs set close to the main line is worked with short, quick taps of the rod tip and brief pauses, and a ready-made set saves tying time and is ready to fish straight away.
Squish jigs have a soft body that feels like a small fish, so squid hold them longer, and a Warm Jacket fabric wrap that absorbs and retains heat from sunlight or fishing lights. The set is available in four versions marked A, B, C and D.
