Innovation in Squid Fishing
Squid fishing gear [EGI] originated in Japan and is now used to target various kinds of squid all over the world. Hayabusa’s new squid jig [SQUID JUNKY HUGHUG] was developed by a specialist who was involved in the development of squid jigs. It took five years from the idea to the finished product, and about three years to develop. After repeated trial and error testing, we arrived at a satisfactory specification.
Special cloth called “Hug Cloth”
The biggest feature is that it uses a finely textured special cloth called “Hug Cloth” that allows the squid to hold on the lure for a long time. When the squid touches the HUGHUG, the spines inside the tentacles get stuck in the fabric, so the lure can hold the squid for a longer time. This is a basic model that can be used by anyone with its versatile body shape and sharp darts.
