The Mustad 92553S in size 3/0 is a stainless steel beak hook for sea fishing with larger pieces of bait. The up-turned eye allows a firm snell knot, which on larger hooks further aligns the pulling force with the axis of the hook. The reversed point helps the hook set even when the fish takes the bait slowly and cautiously.
This size covers fishing for larger species on the bottom and from a boat at anchor, where whole squid, bigger cuts of fish or crab are used. Stainless steel keeps the sharpness and integrity of the point despite constant exposure to salt water, so tied rigs remain usable throughout the season. The pack contains 25 pieces.
