Shimano Kairiki 8+ in Mantis Green is an eight-strand braided line made in Japan, here on a 300 m spool. It is available in 0.10, 0.13, 0.16, 0.19 and 0.20 mm diameters, so the diameter can easily be matched to the type of lure fishing in saltwater and freshwater.
It is braided using Shimano's VT method from IZANAS polyethylene fibres, giving a compact, round profile with a smooth surface. The line runs quietly through the guides, casts well and gives sensitive contact with the lure. The green colour is easy to see above the water, making it simpler to follow the line while working a lure.
