Shimano Kairiki belongs to the braids with very low stretch — the manufacturer states less than 3% — so even the lightest touch is transmitted to the hand. The dense VT weave gives a smooth surface that reduces friction against the guides and extends the life of the line.
Green blends well with the colour of the sea and clearer water, which makes it the usual choice when fishing for warier species. A 150 m spool suits light and medium reels, either on its own or as a top shot over backing.
