Nightcrawler is a soft bait built on a water-based rather than a plastisol formula, which is why it releases noticeably more scent than ordinary soft plastics — the manufacturer states up to 400 times greater scent dispersion. The scent spreads even while the bait is stationary, so a scent trail forms around the rig that attracts fish even when it is not being actively worked.
The Nightcrawler is an imitation of an earthworm, a bait that works almost everywhere, which makes it useful in both salt and fresh water. This variant comes in Orange and is 3" long; lighter colours are used in murkier water and low light, natural ones in clear sea.
