The Ragot Protector Multicolor in size L is a protective component fitted between the sinker and the knot on the rig. Its job is to absorb the friction and impacts the knot would otherwise take, because that is exactly where a rig usually gives way — the sinker constantly hammers into the knot during casting and while being dragged along the bottom, gradually weakening it.
Size L is intended for heavier sinkers and thicker lines, typically in surfcasting and bottom fishing where loads are higher. The multicolour version makes it easier to find the right one in the box when several sizes are in use. Supplied as a multi-piece pack, enough for several rigs.
