The Ragot 50 g sinking bombarda combines longer casting distance with the ability to fish below the surface. The body sinks evenly, so depth is chosen by counting before starting the retrieve, and the greater mass means that depth is reached faster and further from the shore than with lighter models.
This size is common when fishing from a high shore, from a pier or across shallows that have to be cast over, because the range allows the lure to be placed exactly above the zone where fish are holding. It is used on a rod with a matching casting rating. A rig is included in the pack.
