The Daiwa 25 Emeraldas Tataki is the first rod in the Emeraldas range designed specifically for the tataki technique in European waters, meaning vertical squid fishing from a boat with rigs of three or five oppai jigs. It is light and well balanced, giving precise control of the jigs even during long sessions, and it also pairs well with electric reels such as the Daiwa Leobritz 200JLE.
The blank is made from high strength carbon with X45 technology that prevents twisting under load, while the solid carbon Megatop tip transmits even the lightest squid touch. The lightweight carbon Airsensor reel seat improves sensitivity further, Fuji O-ring guides handle braided line smoothly and a Fuji GRC rubber butt cap completes the build. The rod comes in baitcasting and spinning versions and three lengths, so it is easy to match to depth, boat and fishing style.
