The Bassday Log Surf 124F is a floating minnow lure, 124 mm long and weighing 16 g, designed as a core lure for fishing from beaches and the shore. It features the SMA Shaft Glider (MZ-19) moving-weight system with a shape-memory alloy shaft: on the cast the weight slides to the tail for stable, long flight, and during the retrieve the flexible shaft and holder keep the weight in place.
In the water it has a rolling action with a tight, lively wobble, grips the water well and keeps working even in stronger waves. In Japan it is used for sea bass, flatfish and sea-run trout; colour HH-184 imitates the silvery small kibinago baitfish, while CT-26 See-Through Sayori is a translucent halfbeak imitation.
