This 12 V bilge pump with a flow rate of 10 L/min removes the water that collects in the lowest part of the hull. Bilge water never comes from rain alone — it also comes from condensation, shaft seals and deck washing, so the pump works all season, not just in bad weather.
The 2 A current draw is the figure to match against battery capacity and cable cross-section, especially if the pump is wired to an automatic float switch and has to run while nobody is aboard. It is best installed at the lowest point of the bilge, and the intake strainer should be checked regularly, since a blocked intake is the most common reason a perfectly good pump moves no water.
