These 16.5 cm Rapala pliers are intended for removing hooks, cutting and tightening small terminal tackle. Pliers are one of the few pieces of gear used on almost every fish landed, and they come into their own with deeply taken hooks or with fish that need to be released without unnecessary injury.
The 16.5 cm length is a compromise: long enough to keep the hand clear of teeth and spines, yet still compact enough to fit in a vest pocket or a tackle box.
