The Superba is much more than a rod: it is a one-of-a-kind project, created to celebrate Artico's 50th anniversary—half a century of passion, research, and success. An extraordinary achievement that deserved a name worthy of its history.

In this project, our staff, together with the Seasporting team, led by Italian Champion Marco Polignano, have created something special. Meticulous work on the use of unidirectional carbon with UHM Dialed K13C6U reinforcement fibers with a modulus of 900 GPa and high-strength fibers has allowed us to achieve a result that is the perfect synthesis of lightness, balance, and maximum efficiency, even in the most demanding casting conditions.
The Superba represents a new interpretation of the competition rod concept, joining iconic models such as the Perfetta 2 HP, MIA Evoluzione, and Perfetta 3 HP, with a dedicated 120–200 g casting range and a curve-to-power ratio meticulously studied down to the smallest details.
The significant difference is especially noticeable in the unbalance, where the rod demonstrates its exceptional casting performance with a lead range of 140 to 180 g.
The result is a rod designed for the competitor who tackles difficult seabeds and competition venues where something extra is needed, but also for the demanding enthusiast who does not want to give up a special tool in their holdall.
