SAVUDRIJSKA VALA (PIRANSKI ZALJEV) – VIRJA SEA
Peljar for small ships is the official maritime navigation publication of the Croatian Hydrographic Institute. Its content is aligned with the recommendations of the International Hydrographic Organization and with the good practice of national hydrographic offices in creating official publications of this type.
In accordance with the Maritime Code and the Ordinance on boats, boats and yachts, Peljar for small boats is intended for use on boats for personal needs, boats for commercial and public purposes, and yachts for personal and commercial purposes.
This edition of Peljar has been expanded with a larger number of plans and photos and completed with data on nautical anchorages and devices for mariculture, whereby the editors have recognized trends in the maritime nautical sector. Respecting the dynamics of frequent changes, the new edition omits data on port facilities, services and supplies, and traffic connections.
The compass for small ships should be viewed as a whole and used with official maritime navigation charts, as well as with other official publications of the Croatian Hydrographic Institute. Although it contains information that is important for the safety of navigation, it does not absolve sailors of their responsibility regarding the choice of navigation route, moorings, anchoring and making other important decisions during navigation.
Due to the extensiveness and peculiarities of the material, Peljar for small ships has been prepared in two books. In the first book, the area from Savudrijska vale (Piran Bay) to the Vir Sea is described. The second book covers the area from Sedmovrač to Cape Oštra.
Peljar for small ships, first part, Savudrijska vala (Piran Bay) - Virsko Sea includes all notices and corrections received up to the publication of this publication, including Notice for Seafarers 1/2020. This edition supersedes Peljar for small boats, first part, Piran Bay - Virsko Sea, 2002.
